Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking experienced Residential Support Workers for a children’s home in the Kidderminster area.

This is long-term, stable work in a supportive team dedicated to the care and development of young people. You will build trusting relationships, support routines and education, maintain safeguarding standards, and work closely with professionals to provide a safe, nurturing home environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in children's homes or similar settings is preferred.
  • Experience in residential care, children's services, SEND, education or support work is valued.

Responsibilities

  • Building positive and trusting relationships with young people.
  • Supporting emotional regulation and managing challenging behaviour.
  • Providing day-to-day care and creating a safe, stable home environment.
  • Supporting young people with routines, education and personal development.
  • Maintaining safeguarding standards and following care plans.
  • Communicating effectively with young people, colleagues and external professionals.
  • Completing accurate daily records and reporting any concerns appropriately.
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and positive decision-making.
  • Supporting activities, appointments and community-based activities.
  • Responding appropriately to incidents and following agreed de-escalation strategies.

Residential Support Worker Roles - Kidderminster

We are currently recruiting experienced Residential Support Workers for a children's residential home in the Kidderminster area.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for stable, long-term work within a supportive residential team, with a positive working environment and a strong focus on the care and development of young people.

The home supports children and young people with a range of emotional, behavioural and additional needs, so previous experience in residential care, children's services, SEND, education or support work is highly valued.

Key responsibilities include:
