Job summary

Leaman Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a private family for a Head of Property & Facilities Services based in South West London. The role oversees technical systems, maintenance and external presentation of a private residence and requires a technically minded professional with strong building services knowledge.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief of Staff and property team to ensure seamless operation, high standards of safety, and discreet, proactive facilities

Qualifications

• Five years hands-on experience in building services or facilities management, ideally in a luxury environment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including chillers and heat pumps, with BMS familiarity.
• Experience managing contractors and coordinating maintenance and service engineers.
• Good understanding of UK building compliance, including safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of building services and external presentation.
• Act as the primary contact for faults across electrical, plumbing, security and AV/IT systems.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, access, works, quality and completion.
• Manage planned maintenance, budgets and lifecycle planning.
• Maintain asset registers, fault logs and technical records.
• Oversee grounds, gates, lighting and external areas; assist with household tasks as needed.
• Serve as out-of-hours contact for property emergencies.
