£85,000 £90,000 plus car allowance, company bonus and benefits
Flexible UK base with regular travel to London and portfolio sites
Permanent, full time
Lead an established technical services function and shape how maintenance, compliance and engineering assurance are delivered across a substantial residential portfolio.
Reporting directly to the Divisional Director, you will combine strong building services knowledge with operational leadership, developing your team and setting consistent technical standards across complex occupied buildings.
The portfolio includes communal M&E systems, central plant, heat networks and critical fire and life safety equipment. This is an opportunity to influence technical decisions, specialist suppliers, maintenance systems and the long‑term development of the function.
The business is investing in its technical capability as its residential portfolio grows. You will work closely with clients, operational teams and a separate capital works function to ensure buildings remain safe, compliant and properly maintained.
Key priorities include strengthening planned preventative maintenance, developing the specialist supply chain, improving asset information and supporting a new CAFM implementation.
You will provide clear technical direction, confidently challenge contractor recommendations and develop a team capable of delivering consistent service across the portfolio.
You will have senior technical services, engineering or maintenance leadership experience within facilities management, residential property, housing or another complex property environment.
You may already lead a technical function or be an experienced senior manager ready for broader responsibility.
Experience of high‑rise residential buildings, heat networks, communal heating, CAFM implementation or contract mobilisation would be particularly valuable. Relevant professional membership or chartered status would also be welcomed.
