Job summary

AmicusLaw Solicitors in Weymouth seeks a Post Completion Clerk to support the Residential Property team with post-completion registrations and filings, ensuring deadlines are met and compliance is maintained.

You will liaise with clients, solicitors, and external organisations, prepare completion letters, submit AP1 applications, stamp duty land tax returns, and keep case records up to date. Full-time, 9:00am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in handling Land Registry applications and requisitions.
• Strong understanding of post-completion processes within residential property.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise and manage deadlines effectively.
• Confident communicator, both written and verbal.
• Proactive team player with a professional and client-focussed approach.

Responsibilities

• Preparing completion letters and documents and checking completion statements on client and office accounts.
• Prepare and submit AP1 applications to the land registry online portal.
• Prepare and ensure completion of stamp duty land tax returns and submissions.
• Submitting applications to Land Registry.
• Dealing with Land Registry requisitions and responding accurately and promptly to resolve issues.
• Monitor deadlines to ensure all registrations and filings and complete promptly.
• Communicating with clients, solicitors, lenders and the Land Registry as required.
• Updating case management systems and maintaining accurate records.
• File deeds and documents correctly once received from Land Registry.
• Maintain client confidentiality at all times.
• Other ad hoc duties as required.
