Job summary

Jasmine Healthcare is recruiting for Avenue House Nursing and Care Home in Rushden, NN10 0SN. The role involves supporting residents with daily living, meals, hygiene and activities.

You should be within 20 minutes of the home, have or be willing to pursue an NVQ Level 2, and bring one year of experience in a similar role or in a residential/nursing home. We value teamwork, responsibility, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Live within 20 minutes of the Home.
• Willing to contractually sign up to an NVQ Level 2 in a relevant qualification.
• One year’s experience in a similar role (preferred).
• One year’s experience working in a residential or nursing home (preferred).
• Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace (preferred).
• Hold a relevant level 2 or 3 qualification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assisting in preparing, cooking and serving meals to residents.
• Assist in washing and cleaning kitchen equipment and surfaces.
• Acting in line with health & safety and food hygiene guidelines.
• Promoting residents’ choice, dignity and independence.
• Live within 20 minutes of the Home.

About Avenue House Nursing and Care Home

Avenue House is located just outside Rushden. The home's architecture is modern regency style, which provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst providing modern living accommodation. The home provides personal, nursing and dementia care for 48 residents.
