Job summary

Jasmine Healthcare in Avenue House Nursing and Care Home, Rushden, is seeking a dedicated Day Care Assistant to provide high-quality personal care and support for residents. You will join a compassionate team focused on independence, dignity and wellbeing in daily living, with training and progression opportunities.

Hours are dayshift at Avenue House, with pay incentives, annual leave, pension and a supportive environment guided by our mission to prioritise our people.

Qualifications

• Clear motivations and/or relevant care experience.
• Reside 20 minutes or less near the care home.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Written and oral communication skills.
• A caring and nurturing attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with daily living activities such as washing, dressing and eating.
• Promote residents' independence with dignity and respect.
• Complete Daily Charts to a high standard and achieve 90%+ in audits.
• Keep mandatory training up to date throughout the year.

About Avenue House Nursing and Care Home

Avenue House is located just outside Rushden. The home's architecture is modern regency style, which provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst providing modern living accommodation. The home provides personal, nursing and dementia care for 48 residents.

Role Responsibilities as a Care Assistant

• You’ll join our team of dedicated Care Assistants to provide the highest possible level of care in supporting and assisting our residents in all aspects of daily living, including providing personal care and support with daily activities such as washing, dressing and eating.
• You’ll be responsible for promoting our resident's independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect, alongside promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing.
• You’ll complete all Daily Charts to a high standard, ensuring that 90% and above is achieved during all Monthly Daily Charts Audits.
• Ensure you are 100% current with all your mandatory training throughout the year.

Role Requirements as a Care Assistant
