Job summary

Jasmine Healthcare's Avenue House Nursing and Care Home in Rushden is seeking a Care Assistant to join a dedicated team and deliver compassionate, person-centred care. You will assist residents with daily activities, promote independence, and contribute to a warm, homely environment.

It is essential to maintain accurate daily charts, participate in ongoing mandatory training, and demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic attitude in a busy care setting.

Qualifications

• Clear motivations and/or relevant experience.
• Reside 20 minutes or less near to the care home.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest possible level of care in supporting residents with daily living tasks including personal care.
• Promote residents' independence with dignity and respect, supporting physical and emotional wellbeing.
• Complete Daily Charts to a high standard, achieving 90%+ in monthly audits.
• Maintain 100% currency of mandatory training throughout the year.

Salary: £13.31ph / £12.31 ph for 18-21 year olds

Hours: Full Time Permanent Contract (7.30am-7.30pm, 3-4 shifts per week, alternative weekends)

Part Time Permanent Contract (7.30am-7.30pm, 2-3 shifts per week, alternative weekends)

About Avenue House Nursing and Care Home

Avenue House is located just outside Rushden. The home's architecture is modern regency style, which provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst providing modern living accommodation. The home provides personal, nursing and dementia care for 48 residents.

Role Responsibilities as a Care Assistant

• You’ll join our team of dedicated Care Assistants to provide the highest possible level of care in supporting and assisting our residents in all aspects of daily living, including providing personal care and support with daily activities such as washing, dressing and eating.
• You’ll be responsible for promoting our resident's independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect, alongside promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing.
• You’ll complete all Daily Charts to a high standard, ensuring that 90% and above is achieved during all Monthly Daily Charts Audits.
• Ensure you are 100% current with all your mandatory training throughout the year.
