Job summary

Turning Point UK is seeking Recovery Workers to support individuals facing substance use issues and homelessness across community outreach and treatment settings. You will develop personalised recovery plans, deliver harm reduction interventions, and coordinate with housing, health and social care partners to ensure holistic support.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and engagement skills.
• Experience engaging with vulnerable individuals in outreach settings.
• Understanding trauma-informed, person-centred approaches.
• Knowledge of relapse prevention, safeguarding and risk management.
• Ability to build partnerships with housing, health and social care.

Responsibilities

• Recovery Workers act as key workers to a caseload of individuals with substance use issues.
• Provide homeless outreach services and engage rough sleepers or those in temporary accommodation.
• Advocate for service users and help them access treatment, housing and healthcare.
• Collaborate with clinical teams, housing providers and local authorities to coordinate support.
• Maintain regular contact with service users through outreach, appointments and office-based interventions.
