Job summary

Turning Point is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join a 24-hour supported living service in Watford. You will help adults with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health Needs to live as independently as possible, supporting personal care, daily tasks, medication, and community activities within a non-profit environment.

This role operates a waking nights shift (9pm–7am) with 29–31 days of paid holiday over time, and opportunities for training and career progression within Turning Point's

Responsibilities

• Promoting the independence of people we support
• Supporting a full range of daily activities including cleaning and cooking, days out or going away on holiday
• Arranging activities in the home and in the local community
• Developing residents' life skills and personal interests
• Helping residents stay safe and healthy
• Assisting with personal care needs
• Manual handling
• Supporting people with medication
• Ensuring record keeping is maintained to the required standard at all times and contributing to service monitoring requirements
