About the Role

  • Ensure staff are well-supported, trained, and understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Maintain compliance with Ofsted standards, responding proactively to inspection requirements.
  • Provide assurance on service quality through audits, performance monitoring, and reports.
  • Manage budgets effectively and ensure optimal use of resources.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and professional development of staff.
  • Promote the voice of the child and their involvement in home life and decision-making.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota.

  • A recognised qualification in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
  • NVQ Level 5 in Childcare or equivalent.
  • Level 5 Management qualification.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations and inspection frameworks.

  • An analytical thinker who can manage risk, drive improvement, and deliver outstanding outcomes.
  • A skilled motivator who can lead a dedicated team through change and development.
  • Someone with resilience, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure.

You will be responsible for health, safety, medication protocols, risk assessments, and ensuring all building compliance and statutory requirements are met.
