Job summary

Boston University London seeks a Residence Life Supervisor to support international students in London. The role is residential and on-site overnight during the semester, with inclusion in the on-call rota.

You will reside in the on-site residence, supervise social activities and provide pastoral support, handling incidents and coordinating with BU staff and London partners. A single en-suite bedroom is provided along with a monthly stipend, plus £20 monthly expenses for phone costs.

Qualifications

• Must reside on-site for the semester and be on-call roughly 3–4 days per week.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and provide pastoral support.
• Attend mandatory training including First Aid and Fire Marshal.
• Adhere to BU policies and GDPR when handling student data.
• Collaborate with London staff to ensure student wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Reside in the assigned residence during semester with students on site.
• Chaperone social programmes and assist with events.
• Serve as primary on-call team member, including after-hours support.
• Assist with student welfare and pastoral care.
• Document incidents and escalate urgent issues promptly.
• Coordinate with maintenance, security, and staff as needed.
