Job summary

Bassetlaw District Council is seeking an experienced Joiner to join our Repairs and Maintenance team. You will perform hands-on joinery repairs and improvements across housing properties, contributing to safe and well-maintained homes for tenants in Nottingham and surrounding areas.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 in Joinery (or equivalent), proven joinery experience, and the ability to diagnose defects and provide cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Joinery (or an equivalent recognised trade qualification).
• Proven experience carrying out joinery repairs, maintenance and installation work.
• Experience fitting and repairing doors, windows, kitchens, flooring, fencing and other timber structures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of joinery repairs, maintenance and improvement works across Council housing properties.
• Install, repair and replace doors, windows, kitchens, flooring and timber fixtures.
• Maintain fencing, gates, sheds and other external timber structures.
