Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is seeking a skilled Joiner to join our Housing Standards Team across the county. This full-time, mobile role focuses on repairs and maintenance in social housing stock to meet Decent Housing Standards, using mobile tech to receive and record works.

You will carry out joinery repairs, maintain records, and work safely under Building Regulations. A council vehicle is provided, and there is an out-of-hours rota to cover emergencies.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and experience in domestic joinery operations.
• Good knowledge of Health & Building Regulations.
• Effective communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out joinery and associated repairs within housing stock.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and equipment used.
• Adhere to Health and Safety standards and safe working practices.
• Participate in professional, mandatory and skills based training.
• Carry out maintenance and joinery work and repairs in associated trades.
