Job summary

Broadacres Housing Association Ltd is seeking a Development Manager to lead the identification, appraisal and progression of development opportunities for high‑quality, affordable homes. You will manage schemes from inception through approval and mobilisation, ensuring viability and compliance with funding and risk requirements.

You will build relationships with local authorities, landowners, developers and funding partners while guiding internal teams and advisers to maintain a robust

Qualifications

• Experience in identifying, assessing and progressing residential development opportunities from inception through to delivery.
• Experience negotiating with landowners, developers, local authorities and stakeholders to secure successful outcomes.
• Experience in development viability and financial appraisal.
• Strong project management, data analysis, communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and progress a programme of development opportunities to support growth.
• Prepare feasibility studies, development appraisals, business cases and funding submissions.
• Coordinate input from technical, planning, legal, commercial and customer teams to ensure viable proposals.
• Manage development schemes through appraisal, approval and mobilisation, monitoring budget and risk.
• Lead financial appraisal, funding, cashflow management and maintain project data.
• Build relationships with local authorities, landowners, developers, agents and Homes England.
