Job summary

TSR Legal is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Legal Trainer to guide a team of six Paralegals, signing off at key stages and providing technical coaching. The role focuses on training, quality control and compliance across the conveyancing process, with hybrid/remote work options and no traditional fee-earning responsibilities.

You will review files, support the Paralegal team, and help improve standards and consistency in the end-to-end conveyancing workflow.

Qualifications

• Strong residential conveyancing knowledge and end-to-end transaction understanding.
• Experience in training, supervising or mentoring junior staff.
• Ability to review files, provide feedback and sign-off at key stages.

Responsibilities

• Review and sign off draft enquiries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Review property searches and reports, identify issues and raise necessary questions.
• Review mortgage offer reports and ensure all lender requirements are covered.
• Review AML, source of funds and risk assessments to ensure compliance.
• Provide pre-exchange file sign-off and identify any missing items.
• Provide technical coaching to help Paralegals develop knowledge and confidence.
• Identify recurring knowledge gaps and shape targeted training.
• Support consistency and best practices across the conveyancing function.
• Cover holidays or absence when required.
