Job summary

Shenley Recruitment seeks a Conveyancing Operations & Training Manager to lead training across residential conveyancing and audit quality. You will mentor Fee Earners, review files, and sign off stages while reducing risk and driving technical standards.

The role is hybrid with emphasis on coaching and staff development. Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in residential conveyancing, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to work with senior management to improve performance.

Qualifications

• ,Extensive residential conveyancing experience (ideally 15+ years).
• -Fee earner with the knowledge to provide guidance and training to other Fee Earners.
• -Good experience of the code of conduct for the regulator.
• -Experience independently managing a full conveyancing caseload.
• -Previous experience of training staff would be an advantage but is not essential.
• -The ability to identify legal and operational risks quickly.
• -A genuine interest in coaching and developing others.
• -Strong communication and organisational skills.
• -The confidence to work autonomously and support senior management.

Responsibilities

• Developing Fee Earners Residential Conveyancing knowledge and expertise.
• -Support and mentor newly appointed Fee Earners.
• -Review “live” and completed files during induction and probation.
• -Assess technical competence and identify training needs.
• -Sign off key stages of transactions where appropriate.
• -Deliver one-to-one training to help colleagues become confident and independent conveyancers.
• -Work with existing Fee Earners where improvements are needed by auditing files and identifying risks.
• -Provide practical coaching and technical guidance.
• -Identify problems and assist in providing workable solutions.
• -Support improvements in file quality, legal knowledge, client care and performance.
