Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Lawyer in Exeter to manage a busy caseload of new build and plot purchase transactions for buyers from instruction through to completion.

Suitable candidates will have 2+ years’ PQE in new homes conveyancing, strong client care and IT skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ PQE or equivalent experience in conveyancing.
• Strong background in new homes and plot purchase conveyancing.
• Experience managing your own caseload independently.
• Excellent communication and client care skills.
• Strong organisational and IT skills, including case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload of new build and plot purchase transactions from instruction to completion.
• Review title, planning documents and searches for developments.
• Raise site-wide enquiries and prepare master site reports.
• Act for purchasers and meet developer deadlines, including 28-day exchanges.
• Manage related sale and purchase transactions and support business development.

Residential Conveyancing Lawyer – Exeter

An excellent opportunity for an experienced New Homes Conveyancing Lawyer to join a successful and expanding Residential Property team at a well-established, multi-office law firm with a strong presence across the South West.

You will manage your own caseload of new build and plot purchase transactions, acting for buyers from instruction through to completion.

Key duties include:

• Handling new build and residential conveyancing matters with minimal supervision.
• Reviewing title, planning documents and searches for developments.
• Raising site-wide enquiries and preparing master site reports.
• Acting for purchasers and meeting developer deadlines, including 28-day exchanges.
• Managing related sale and purchase transactions.
• Supporting business development and nurturing referrer relationships.

Candidate Requirements

• Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer with 2+ years’ PQE (or equivalent experience).
• Strong background in new homes and plot purchase conveyancing.
• Experience managing your own caseload independently.
• Excellent communication and client care skills.
• Strong organisational and IT skills, including case management systems.
