Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Residential Conveyancing Legal Assistant/Paralegal in Totnes, Devon. Excellent salary to £26k, contributory pension, 25 days holiday, parking permit, and a friendly team with ongoing training.

You will assist solicitors with conveyancing matters, advise clients locally, nationally and internationally, handle new instructions, provide onboarding and estimates, and manage post-exchange and post-completion work.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of residential conveyancing experience.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a law firm.
• Already employed as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal.

Responsibilities

• Assist solicitors and fee earners with all conveyancing matters.
• Advise local, national and international clients on residential conveyancing.
• Manage new client instructions and office footfall.
• Provide estimates, source of funds and onboarding.
• Prepare completion statements and contract packs.
• Obtain mortgage funds and handle registrations/SDLT.
