Job summary

Eventus Legal in Berkshire recruiting a Conveyancing Assistant to join a specialist residential property team. This permanent role offers a salary of £25,000 to £30,000, 20 working days of annual leave plus bank holidays, a company pension and a discretionary bonus, alongside training and support to progress within the firm.

You will support a busy domestic conveyancing caseload and have direct contact with clients, estate agents and solicitors throughout transactions.

Qualifications

• Practical knowledge of the residential conveyancing process across freehold and leasehold matters
• Confidence handling key stages of sale and purchase transactions, including enquiries and exchanges
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication with clients and third parties
• Ability to organise a busy workload while maintaining accurate transaction communication

Responsibilities

• Provide initial quotations and set up new conveyancing files
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, solicitors and third parties by phone, email, and in person
• Prepare and issue draft contract papers on sale transactions
• Answer enquiries on sales and raise enquiries on purchases
• Submit property searches and progress purchase matters
• Attend clients in the office for signing and signing of documents
• Report to clients on freehold and leasehold titles
• Handle exchange of contracts and related paperwork
• Prepare completion paperwork
• Manage post-completion leasehold work including notices
• Deal with Land Registry applications, requisitions and SDLT submissions
