A leading law firm in Chipping Barnet is expanding and seeking an experienced legal assistant/paralegal/conveyancer for their residential conveyancing department. The role involves proactive communication with clients and third parties, providing excellent customer service, and assisting solicitors with various tasks. This part-time, office-based position offers flexible hours and requires residential conveyancing experience.
Due to expansion we are looking to recruit an experienced legal assistant/paralegal/conveyancer in our residential conveyancing department.
Responsibilities:
· Providing proactive communication to keep clients, third parties, partners and other conveyancers updated
· Providing excellent customer service
· Providing assistance to the fee earner/solicitor
· Liaising with clients, estate agents and other professionals
· File set up and closures
· Dealing with Land Registry, Mortgage Lenders and Search Providers
· Preparing and issuing client care letters
· Preparing and issuing contract packs
· Assisting with completions and managing post completion matters
· Meeting clients to complete initial ID checks
Requirements
All our teams work to high standards, and so we're looking for an assistant/paralegal with the following:
· Residential conveyancing experience
· Strong communication skills
· Experience in freehold sales and purchase, leasehold sales and purchase
