Job summary

Eventus Legal in Chelmsford, Essex, is seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join a client-focused law firm. This full-time role offers a competitive salary dependent on experience up to £35,000 and supports a varied residential conveyancing caseload within an established Property team.

You will work on sales, purchases, remortgages and auction matters from instruction through to post-completion, with opportunities for mentoring and professional development in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• At least four years' experience in residential conveyancing.
• Experience guiding matters from instruction to completion.
• Confident communication with clients and professionals.
• Strong organisation and ability to manage deadlines.
• Familiarity with LEAP would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support solicitors with residential property sales, purchases, remortgages and auctions.
• Assist conveyancing from instruction through exchange, completion and post-completion.
• Prepare correspondence and documents; obtain and check searches and property information.
• Liaise with clients, agents, lenders and others; keep stakeholders informed.
• Maintain accurate case records and progress matters efficiently.
