Job summary

Bristol-based law firm seeks an experienced Residential Conveyancer/Solicitor to join their dynamic team. Hybrid working and a competitive salary depending on experience (£45,000 - £55,000 DOE) are offered.

The role involves managing a varied caseload and supervising junior staff, with strong client relationship requirements. Qualified lawyers (Solicitor, Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer) are desirable, though non-qualified conveyancers will also be considered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience running a complex caseload of residential conveyancing matters.
• Experience across sale, purchase and remortgage matters; leasehold and extensions.
• Understanding of SDLT, unregistered properties, and related residential conveyancing issues.
• Ability to manage junior staff and maintain strong client relationships.

Residential Conveyancer/Solicitor 3 Years PQE +

GMP Recruitment are proud to be supporting a highly respected Bristol based law firm in the recruitment of an experienced Residential Conveyancer/Solicitor to join their dynamic team.

We are looking for truly passionate and self-motivated individuals who can build upon and directly contribute to the continued success of the business.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will report to the Directors, managing a varied caseload of residential conveyancing work whilst supervising and developing junior members of staff.

Strong client relationship skills are essential to meet the needs and expectations of clients and ever‑growing introducer base, who always expect a high level of professional service.

Whilst a qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer) would be desirable, we can also consider non‑qualified conveyancers.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered, applicants should possess:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience running a complex caseload of residential conveyancing matters.
• Strong knowledge and technical experience of:
• Residential conveyancing across the full range of sale, purchase and remortgage matters.
• Leasehold and lease extension work.
• Transfers of Equity
• New build
• SDLT requirements, including relevant reliefs and exemptions, in residential conveyancing matters.
• Dealing with unregistered properties.
• The impact of restrictions and cautions lodged against a property and how these might be removed.
