Job summary

GMP Recruitment are supporting a Gloucester-based law firm to recruit an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters, supervise junior staff, and develop client relationships to meet the firm’s high standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience running a complex caseload of residential conveyancing matters.
• Strong knowledge and technical experience of residential conveyancing across the full range of sale, purchase and remortgage matters.
• Leasehold and lease extension work.
• Transfers of Equity
• New build
• SDLT requirements, including relevant reliefs and exemptions, in residential conveyancing matters.
• Dealing with unregistered properties.
• The impact of restrictions and cautions lodged against a property and how these might be removed.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will report to the Directors, managing a varied caseload of residential conveyancing work whilst supervising and developing junior members of staff.

Strong client relationship skills are essential to meet the needs and expectations of clients and ever-growing introducer base, who always expect a high level of professional service.

Whilst a qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer) would be desirable, we can also consider non-qualified conveyancers.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered, applicants should possess:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience running a complex caseload of residential conveyancing matters.
• Strong knowledge and technical experience of:
