Job summary

Clayton Legal is seeking an experienced Conveyancer to join our growing residential property team in Leicester. You will manage your own caseload from instruction through to completion, handling freehold and leasehold transactions, and liaising with clients and third parties to progress transactions efficiently.

This role offers hybrid working after probation, autonomy, and a supportive team environment, with real opportunities to develop within an established legal firm.

• Experience in residential conveyancing from instruction to completion.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent client communication and updates throughout transactions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion
• Handle freehold and leasehold transactions
• Deal with sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity
• Maintain proactive client communication and regular updates
• Liaise with solicitors, estate agents, lenders and other third parties
• Ensure transactions progress efficiently within required timescales
• Handle post-completion matters and Land Registry requirements

Working pattern: Hybrid after probation

We are looking for an experienced Conveyancer to join a growing residential property team in Leicester.

The ideal candidate will have strong residential conveyancing experience and be comfortable managing their own caseload from instruction through to completion.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Conveyancer looking for a role offering greater flexibility, autonomy and the chance to develop within an established and growing team.

The role

• Managing a caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
• Handling freehold and leasehold transactions
• Dealing with sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity
• Managing client communication and providing regular updates
• Liaising with solicitors, estate agents, lenders and other third parties
• Ensuring transactions progress efficiently and within required timescales
• Dealing with post-completion matters and Land Registry requirements
• Providing a high level of client service throughout the transaction

About you

• Strong experience within residential conveyancing
• Ideally qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer, CLC, CILEX or Solicitor, although this is not essential
• Able to manage a caseload independently
• Strong attention to detail and organisation
• Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
• Experience dealing with a range of residential property matters
• Comfortable working as part of a wider property team
