Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting for a Children’s Support Worker in Llanelli. You will support children and young people with EBD/SEMH in residential settings, ensuring safety and continuity of care.

The role offers day and night shifts, with both full and part-time options. Ideal candidates will have experience in residential care, DBS clearance for children and adults, and registration with Social Care Wales or willingness to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in residential/care settings.
• DBS for child & adult or willingness to apply.
• Registered with Social Care Wales or willingness to apply.
• Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviours or trauma.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to children and young people in residential settings.
• Engage with children and young people to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Work flexibly across day and night shifts as required.
• Follow policies to support a child-centred approach.

Skills

Experience in care settings

DBS clearance (Child & Adult)

Social Care Wales registration

Experience with trauma/ challengingbeh

Driving licence (desirable)
