Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting for a Children’s Support Worker in Llanelli. You will support children and young people with EBD/SEMH in residential settings, ensuring safety and continuity of care.

The role offers day and night shifts, with both full and part-time options. Ideal candidates will have experience in residential care, DBS clearance for children and adults, and registration with Social Care Wales or willingness to apply.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to children and young people in residential settings.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a children's residential provider in the heart of Carmarthenshire to look for Childrens Support Worker. The houses care for children and young people who have been diagnosed with EBD (Emotional Behavioural Difficulties) and SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health), or complex trauma needs.

We are looking for aChildrens Support Worker to work on a full and part time basis with varying day and night shifts available. Our residential provider adopts an ethos that is child focused, while understanding that children will thrive when they feel safe and secure. A focus on providing consistency and continuity, ensuring at all times that children's wishes are heard and respected.

The successful Residential Support Worker will have:

• Experience of working in residential/care settings

• Child & Adult DBS or willingness to apply

• Registered with Social Care Wales or willingness to apply

• Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviours or trauma

• Desirable - driving licence

• Flexibility with shifts
