Job summary

Norfolk County Council is seeking Residential Children’s Practitioner (Springwood Hub Worker) in Norwich to provide intensive short-term interventions for young people on the edge of the care system.

You will participate in statutory reviews, planning meetings, and progress updates, and perform shift work including night and sleep-in duties while building strong, supportive relationships with children and families.

Qualifications

• Good level of literacy and numeracy required.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training courses.
• Ability to form effective relationships with children.
• Passion to support young people and help them achieve outcomes.
• Full driving licence and daily access to a vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake shift work including waking night and sleep-in duties as required.
• Participate in statutory reviews, planning meetings and progress meetings.
• Provide outreach support for young people and families.
• Contribute to the care planning process and maintain relationships through transitions.
