Suffolk County Council is recruiting Senior Youth Support Practitioners for Beccles Children's Home. You will lead a team to provide high-quality care for up to 4 children aged 11-17, with plan to support education, health and wellbeing, in a home-from-home setting.

The role includes rostered shifts, sleep-in duties with additional pay, safeguarding responsibilities, and working as part of the management team to ensure a safe, supportive environment for every child.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years' experience in a residential setting for children
• Knowledge of safeguarding and welfare of children
• Ability to work fixed shifts and rostered sleep-in duties

Aufgaben

• Lead a team of Youth Support Practitioners to provide high-quality care for children
• Coordinate day-to-day shifts and plan care to support education, health and wellbeing
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
• Collaborate with parents, social workers and other professionals
• Be a role model and maintain calm under pressure
