Job summary

Family Care is recruiting a Residential Childcare Worker to join the Formby-based home. You will provide daily care, emotional support, and a stable routine to young people with learning disabilities within a therapeutic care model.

The role emphasizes teamwork, empathy, and a proactive approach, with training and progression opportunities and a sleep-in allowance. DBS checks and safeguarding commitment are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or adults with learning disabilities.
• Empathetic, patient and positive attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with learning disabilities in daily routines.
• Promote independence and participation in activities.
• Assist with personal care with dignity and respect.
• Build trusting relationships and provide emotional support.
• Follow individual care plans and contribute to development.
• Work as part of a consistent care team, including sleep-ins and weekends.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records.
