Job summary

CareTech Community Services is seeking a Residential Childcare Worker in Newtonmore. The role involves 2 on 4 off shifts with overnight sleep-ins, a salary between £34,327 and £36,375 per year including sleep-in allowances, and a base salary with additional sleep-in pay.

Job description

Role: Residential Childcare Worker

Location: Newtonmore with a 2 on 4 off shift pattern, which includes overnight sleep-ins at the service.

Pay: £34,327 to £36,375 per year (includes base salary + sleep-in allowances)

Base Salary: £26,227 (Unqualified) to £28,275 (Qualified), plus £67.50 per sleep-in. Based on approximately 10 sleep-ins per month, you will top up your earnings by £8,100 annually.

12month advance rolling rota

A full UK Manual driving licence is required and we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

As a support worker, you will support young people with their daily routines, getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities. You will also:

• Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping.
• Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
• Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects.
• Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.

Atha Mor is a beautiful, welcoming home based in the Scottish highlands- sitting on a lot of land ensuring our young people have a safe space to live and thrive. We are registered to support 4 young people who may be effected by learning disabilities and or complex behaviours.
