Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking compassionate Residential Support Workers to assist young people in Nottingham-area homes. The role involves supporting daily routines, promoting emotional wellbeing, and helping young people develop independence in a safe, nurturing environment.

Flexible shifts include days and waking nights; long-term placements may be available for the right candidate. Driving or own transport is preferred where public transport is limited.

(Driver or own Travel is essential as Public trasnport routes are lacking)

We are looking for compassionate and resilient Residential Support Workers to join our team on a day-to-day basis, with opportunities for long-term placements for the right candidates.

What You'll Be Doing as a Residential Support Worker:

• Supporting young people with their daily routines and activities
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Building trusting and supportive relationships with young people
• Helping to create a safe, structured and nurturing home environment
• Encouraging independence, confidence and personal development
• Working flexible shifts, including waking nights
• Long-term opportunities available for the right person

Have experience working with children or young people in a residential, care or support setting

• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Can build positive and professional relationships with young people
• Remain calm and resilient when managing challenging situations
• Are flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including waking nights
• Have a proactive, caring and professional approach to your work
