Job summary

Randstad Care is seeking dedicated care professionals for a children's residential service near Dunscore, Scotland. The role focuses on providing round-the-clock emotional and practical support to vulnerable children, with care plans tailored to help them progress toward independence.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence is mandatory.
• Experience in children's residential care, social work, or supporting younger family members is valued.

• Right to work in the UK is required; sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-standard emotional and practical support to young people in the home.

• Maintain accurate electronic care records daily.
• Assist with light housekeeping and domestic tasks when residents are at school.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Deliver high-standard, round-the-clock emotional and practical support to young people residing in the home.

Build strong, meaningful connections to break down barriers and provide stability during challenging moments.

Accompany young people to school, medical appointments, and organized leisure trips in the community.

Maintain accurate electronic care records daily to track personal progress and maintain high standards of care.

Assist with light housekeeping and domestic tasks while residents are at school to ensure a homely living space.

Complete intensive shift blocks involving overnight stay duties away from home.

What we need from you

Driving Licence: A full UK manual driving licence is mandatory to transport young people to routine appointments and outdoor activities.

Experience or Ambition: Prior experience in children's residential care, social work, or supporting younger family members is highly valued. Candidates completing relevant training or looking to transfer from adult care are fully welcomed.

Vetting: Ability to pass an enhanced PVG check with two years of verifiable reference history.

Right to Work: Candidates must hold existing rights to work in the UK, as employer sponsorship cannot be provided.
