Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Trainer Assessor for Residential Childcare Apprenticeships to act as a Children’s Home Manager/Trainer. The role is home/field based, covering Hertfordshire with travel flexibility and is offered full-time and permanent.

You will assess and support learners working toward Levels 4 and 5, assist with Maths and English to Level 2, and manage diaries, online sessions, and learner documentation. A UK driving licence and travel flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• Solid occupational experience within Residential Childcare (Children's Home) at Deputy Manager level or above.
• Willing to work towards an Assessor qualification (full funding provided).
• Ideally hold a Level 3 NVQ in Residential Childcare.
• Confident with Maths and English; GCSEs or equivalent.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Must be flexible with travel.

Responsibilities

• Assess and support a caseload of learners working towards Residential Childcare Apprenticeships – Levels 4 and 5.
• Support learners with Functional Skills Maths and English to Level 2.
• Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely reviews and meetings are conducted.
• Conduct online video meetings and training sessions with learners.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress.
• Support, advise and motivate learners.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
