Residential Chef – Salary: £12.21 per hour (£12,063.48 per annum). Working hours: 19 hours per week.

The Chef Role

In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for preparing fresh, homemade meals that are not only delicious but also tailored to meet the dietary needs of those we support, including individuals with specialist requirements such as diabetes, food intolerances, or texture‑modified diets.

You will:

  • Plan and prepare nutritious, well‑balanced meals and snacks
  • Adapt dishes to suit specialist diets and individual preferences
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Work closely with the care team to support individuals’ wellbeing through food
  • Promote a homely, welcoming mealtime experience
About you
  • Has experience in a kitchen or catering environment (care setting experience is a bonus)
  • Understands food hygiene and dietary requirements and holds Level 2 Food Hygiene
  • Is organised, reliable, and passionate about home‑style cooking
  • Takes pride in making a difference to people’s daily lives
  • Works well as part of a caring, close‑knit team
