Agincare's not-for-profit Children’s Residential Home in Wimborne, Dorset, seeks a compassionate Support Worker to join the founding team. You’ll provide consistent support to children with learning disabilities, helping them feel safe, valued, and empowered within a dedicated team.

We offer full-time, part-time and bank contracts, funded Level 3 Residential Childcare training, enhanced DBS, a pension, and a refer-a-friend bonus. Sleep-ins and flexible shifts are part of the role.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training and support provided.
• Ability to work flexibly including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsabilités

• Build trusting relationships with children and young people.
• Support daily routines from school runs to mealtimes and bedtime.
• Help children learn life skills and independence.
• Work as part of a team to ensure safety and care.
• Assist with care plans, routines and risk assessments (training provided).
• Handle challenging behaviour calmly with empathy using a therapeutic approach.
• Participate in sleep-ins (average 4 per month).
