Job summary

The Salvation Army Bermuda is seeking a Residential Care Worker to assist residents with daily routines, monitor activities, and support the care team.

Shifts are 12 hours, with evening and/or morning rotations including Public Holidays. The role requires a high-school diploma, strong communication, empathy, and de-escalation skills, with CPR/First Aid training and a willingness to support the mission of The Salvation Army.

Qualifications

• A high-school graduate with fair administrative, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• WHMIS training and first aid/CPR certifications are preferred.
• Experience in social services or caregiving is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and protection of all residents/clients within Harbour Light.
• Interact with support staff, administration, and counseling team.
• Assist residents with daily routines and monitor activities with sensitivity to goals and mission.
• Escort and supervise residents for external activities and events.
• Maintain confidentiality of all client information.
