Job summary

Cygnet Health Care's Kirkside House is seeking a Support Worker to provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. The role involves 12-hour day shifts on a full-time basis, with an alternating weekend rota to cover needs and ensure continuity of care.

The post requires a male worker due to a genuine occupational requirement, and an enhanced DBS check is essential. You will help residents build independence and engage with the local community.

Responsibilities

• Deliver enhanced, flexible care to every resident.
• Provide physical and emotional support with guidance and encouragement.
• Learn each resident's needs and tailor help accordingly.
• Record and report on medical and welfare needs.
• Safeguard people in the service and keep environments safe.
• Support residents to access the community for work, college, hobbies and outings.
• Help residents develop everyday skills like cooking and cleaning.
