Think Recruitment is seeking a Customer / Resident Liaison Officer in Birmingham to act as the main point of contact for residents during planned construction and maintenance works. The role supports residents by communicating updates, handling queries, and coordinating with site teams to minimise disruption.

This long-term temporary position offers a pathway to permanent opportunities for the right candidate and requires a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer-facing or resident-facing role
• Ideally, experience within construction, housing, social housing, property or maintenance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence dealing with complaints, queries and difficult situations
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• A professional, approachable and empathetic manner
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for residents throughout construction and maintenance works
• Communicate with residents regarding upcoming, ongoing and completed works
• Handle resident queries, concerns and complaints in a professional and timely manner
• Carry out pre- and post-project resident engagement
• Prepare and distribute letters, newsletters and project updates
• Work closely with site teams, contractors and project managers
• Provide support to residents where works cause disruption
• Attend resident meetings and community engagement events
• Maintain accurate records of resident interactions, queries and issues
• Ensure resident feedback is communicated effectively to the wider project team
• Help build and maintain positive relationships between residents, contractors and the project team
