Job summary

Wythenshawe Community Housing Group is seeking a proactive Residents Involvement Coordinator to help shape services by coordinating resident involvement activities, events, forums and customer panels, and by recruiting residents to participate. The post is 35 hours per week with regular evening meetings and digital engagement through social media.

You will develop and support volunteers, report outcomes to improve engagement, and build strong partnerships with colleagues and external partners.

• Excellent customer service in resident involvement, community engagement or a similar setting.
• Experience coordinating involvement activities or volunteer programmes.

Job description

This role sits in the Customers & Communities team at Wythenshawe Community Housing Group, which manages almost 14,000 homes. The post-holder coordinates resident involvement events, forums and customer panels, recruits a wide range of residents and supports resident volunteers through inductions and training. The post is 35 hours a week and includes regular evening meetings, plus digital engagement through social media. A DBS check is required, and a housing qualification is desirable rather than essential.

What’s required

Experience

• Excellent customer service in resident involvement, community engagement or a similar setting
• Experience coordinating involvement activities or volunteer programmes

Skills & knowledge

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, able to engage people at all levels
• Strong organisational skills, working independently, managing competing priorities and keeping accurate records
• Confident using IT, social media and digital engagement tools
• Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality, with an inclusive approach to residents and volunteers
