Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd is seeking a Chef for our client in Kinloss. The role involves planning, preparing and presenting nutritious meals for residents, with 40 hours per week over 5 out of 7 days.

The position pays £16.00 per hour, with duties including dietary accommodation and high hygiene standards. Ideal candidates have 2+ years cooking experience, a Food Hygiene Certificate and the ability to work under pressure while following safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef, Cook or Catering professional.
• Knowledge of food hygiene regulations and safety standards.
• Experience cooking for large groups.
• Understanding nutritional needs for older people.
• Ability to cater for specialist diets and allergies.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Must hold a Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years cooking experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, cook and present balanced, nutritious meals for residents.
• Produce breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks according to service schedules.
• Cater for diabetic, vegetarian, vegan, allergy-sensitive and therapeutic diets.
• Ensure meals are appealing and tailored to residents' preferences where possible.
• Monitor food quality and presentation standards at all times.
• Maintain highest standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
• Comply with Food Safety legislation, HACCP procedures and Environmental Health requirements.
• Record daily temperature checks for storage and cooking; maintain kitchen records.
• Ensure safe storage of food products and chemicals; follow health & safety policies.
