Job summary

Kingfisher House Care Home is seeking a dedicated activities coordinator to plan and organise engaging activities for residents throughout the day. The role requires flexibility to enable outings and events, supporting social, intellectual and spiritual well-being and participation in activities to fulfil residents' aspirations.

You will deliver physical, psychological and social care to frail elderly residents, maintaining confidentiality and coordinating with staff to ensure smooth daily

Responsibilities

• Build friendships with residents to help adjust to life in a care home
• Deliver a high level of personal and psychological care to residents
• Maintain communication with Manager, Senior Care Assistants, Chef and relatives for smooth operation
• Complete records to a satisfactory standard and agree record-keeping with the manager
• Safeguard residents' rights and confidentiality in line with care home philosophy
• Plan daytime and evening activities and coordinate with other services
• Assess residents' needs and develop activity goals for care plans
• Encourage participation in activities and document outcomes
• Work solo and as part of a team to back up staff and meet home aims
• Attend any additional training to enhance contribution to the home
