Job summary

Scape is a premium accommodation provider with buildings across London, Surrey, Leeds, Australia and the US. We’re seeking a Scape Residence Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of your site and lead a motivated team, delivering exceptional resident experiences.

As you guide relations with senior staff and clients, you will manage procurement, health and safety, on-call duties and quarterly site meetings, while promoting our brand and policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of your site
• Build relationships and work closely with senior members and clients across the business
• Demonstrate leadership and management skills to build and maintain a high achieving team
• Be part of an on-call rota as required by the business
• Taking full ownership of The Resident Experience, with Wellbeing at the forefront
• Procure supplies, stores, materials, consumables, spares and contracted services economically and competitively
• Purchasing and stock control for soft FM services with full accountability for the Soft FM P&L
• Work with Maintenance Manager and Compliance & Risk Team to implement health and safety policies and risk assessments
• Hold quarterly site meetings in cooperation with the Maintenance Manager
• Lead tours to showcase the brand, property and booking information
• Implement and maintain SOPs
• Promote, live and breathe our policies and procedures
• Collect rent instalments timely and follow up on late payments
• Manage staffing levels for 24-hour building coverage
• Recruit team members in line with HR SOPs and recruitment policies
• Provide relevant training for the team including reviews or e-learning
• Develop your team and enable internal progression, especially with your Team Leader
• Collaborate with People Team to resolve performance issues
• Maintain relationships with local communities and authorities
• Report incidents and resident issues per escalation procedures
• Promote Scape experience to residents as a brand ambassador
• Handle complaints professionally and log for follow-up and resolution
• Manage conflict resolution regarding students at your site
• Protect company documents as private and confidential
• Ensure a successful site turnover, on time and on brand
• Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role

As a Scape Residence Manager, your main responsibilities would be:

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of your site
• To build relationships and work closely with senior members and clients across the business
• Demonstrate leadership and management skills in order to build and maintain a high achieving team
• To have a driven and ambitious attitude to ensure flexibility within the role and to go above and beyond
• To be part of an on-call rota as required by the business
• Taking full ownership of The Resident Experience, with Wellbeing at the forefront
• Ensure supplies, stores, materials, consumables, spares and contracted services are procured economically and competitively
• Purchasing and stock control for soft FM services with full accountability for the Soft FM P&L
• Working with your Maintenance Manager and The Compliance & Risk Teamto implement and maintain all health and safety policies, and risk assessments
• Play a key role in holding quarterly site meetings in cooperation with the Maintenance Manager
• Setting an example to the Front of House team by leading effective, personalised tours that show off our brand, the property and advising rates, add-on services and booking information
• Working with your team to implement and maintain all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Promote, live and breathe our policies and procedures
• Effective and timely collection of rent instalments and following up with residents with late payments
• Managing staffing levels to ensure 24-hour building coverage
• Manage recruitment of team members in line with HR SOPs and recruitment and selection policies
• To implement relevant training for the team including reviews or e-learning courses
• Strive to maintain an engaged and motivated team environment within your site, promoting performance excellence and celebrating success at every opportunity
• Take ownership of developing your team members to ensure internal progression is theirs if they are committed to the cause. Particularly with your Team Leader.
• Work closely with the People Team to resolve any team performance issues
• Liaising and maintaining relationships with the local communities and various authorities
• Reporting all incidents/resident affecting issues in line with our escalation procedures
• Promote the Scape experience to prospective and existing residents acting as a brand ambassador
• Handle complaints professionally and compassionately, and ensure they are logged accurately for follow-up and resolution, reporting as necessary to the senior team.
• Manage conflict resolution regarding students at your site
• Treat company documents as private and confidential, ensuring communications are not shared or forwarded, and comply with the Data Protection Act
• Ensure a successful site turnover, on time and on brand
• To undertake any other duties as and when required that are commensurate with the role
