Job summary

Holiday Inn Reading-South is looking for a friendly Reservations and Events Agent to join our team in Reading. You’ll be on the front line, delivering customer-focused service, handling enquiries, and driving bookings in line with our brand standards.

You’ll work 40 hours per week, earn £26,728 per year (£12.85 per hour), and can expect shifts across 5 days. We offer flexible weekend/evening work and the chance to grow through apprenticeships and internal training.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• A passion for hospitality and a relentless commitment to excellence.
• Experience handling reservations and guest inquiries is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take enquiries and bookings via telephone and online bookings
• Converting enquiries into sales
• Processing, amending and updating bookings as required
• Maximising revenue through upselling
• Administration and technology savvy
• Available to work when the team and customer needs you most
