Job description

Research Technician Position

We are recruiting a Research Technician to provide technical support with minimal supervision across various project-specific research activities. Responsibilities include:

  1. Running and troubleshooting experiments
  2. Maintaining, using, and teaching research-associated equipment
  3. Ensuring safe working practices and health and safety compliance within laboratories

The successful candidate must demonstrate experience with standard molecular biology techniques, including PCR, gel electrophoresis, cloning, transforming bacteria, and plasmid preparations.

Qualifications required:

  • QCF level 6 (Bachelor’s degree) in a biological subject, or
  • QCF level 2 passes (GCSE) in English, Mathematics, and at least one science subject, along with relevant working experience
