Job summary

Oxford Immunocore is seeking a Scientist - Infectious Diseases to advance the ImmTAX platform and other modalities in chronic infections including HIV, HBV, and EBV. The role spans preclinical to early development, with data-driven decision making and collaboration across Research and other departments.

You will design and execute experiments using molecular and cellular techniques, present results, and contribute to pipeline progress while working in a matrixed team and a CL3 capable facility.

Qualifications

• PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, genomics, virology, immunology, or related discipline; 0–2 years related experience.
• Alternative: BSc or MSc with significant work experience in relevant scientific areas.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute assignments to meet project goals within defined timeframes.
• Conduct experiments using molecular and cellular techniques including sequencing, PCR, cell culture and flow cytometry.
• Analyze data, interpret results and make recommendations to advance the project and pipeline.
• Present results at internal meetings and contribute to cross-functional collaborations.
