Join to apply for the Research Scientist (Biology) role at DataAnnotation.

We are seeking a Research Scientist (Biology) to join our team to train AI models. Your responsibilities will include measuring the progress of AI chatbots, evaluating their logic, and solving problems to enhance each model's quality.

Candidates should possess an expert understanding of biology. A completed or in-progress Masters/PhD is preferred but not mandatory. Relevant fields include, but are not limited to: Microbiology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Physiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science.

This is a full-time or part-time REMOTE position.

You will have the flexibility to choose projects and work on your schedule.

Compensation starts at $40+ USD per hour, with bonuses for high-quality and high-volume work.

Responsibilities:

• Present AI chatbots with diverse and complex biology problems and evaluate their outputs.
• Assess the quality of AI models for correctness and performance.

Qualifications:

• A current, in-progress, or completed Masters and/or PhD is preferred but not required.
• Fluency in English (native or bilingual level).
• Detail-oriented.
• Proficient in biology, inductive/deductive reasoning, experimental design, data interpretation, and systems-level thinking.
