Job description

Join to apply for the Biology Research Scientist role at DataAnnotation.

We are looking for a Biology Research Scientist to join our team to train AI models. You will measure the progress of AI chatbots, evaluate their logic, and solve problems to improve each model's quality.

Requirements include an expert understanding of biology— a completed or in-progress Masters/PhD is preferred but not required. Relevant fields include, but are not limited to: Microbiology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Physiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science.

This is a full-time or part-time REMOTE position, allowing you to choose projects and work on your own schedule. Projects are paid hourly starting at $40+ USD, with bonuses for high-quality and high-volume work.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide AI chatbots with diverse and complex biology problems and evaluate their outputs.
2. Assess the quality of AI models for correctness and performance.

Qualifications:

1. A current, in-progress, or completed Masters and/or PhD is preferred but not required.
2. Fluency in English (native or bilingual level).
3. Detail-oriented.
4. Proficient in biology, inductive/deductive reasoning, experimental design, data interpretation, and systems-level thinking.
