An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 research nurse on the fast-paced, innovative Neurology Day Unit at a leading teaching hospital in East London. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with experience working in research, who are willing to gain and develop knowledge on different neurological conditions, in particular multiple sclerosis. We seek someone who will complement and encourage the existing team.
The post-holder will support the clinical trials manager in the smooth running of clinical trial activity on the unit, taking a leading role in clinical research involving a wide portfolio of trials and studies, both interventional and observational. The post holder will provide support to members of the team and carries responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of care and setting standards for patients participating in research.
The post holder will be responsible for managing their own workload under supervision from the clinical trials manager and matron. The post holder will work within a team which will consist of neurologists, junior staff nurses and Healthcare Support workers.
This research nurse position offers the opportunity for a motivated nurse to work as part of a supportive team to deliver clinical trials to patients with neurological conditions in a thriving London hospital. The role will involve supporting patients throughout their clinical trial journey, from recruitment up until trial completion. The role will require effective communication with various internal and external clinical and research contacts.
