An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Research Nurse to join our dedicated and close-knit Prostate Team.

Being based in the West Wing Clinical Trials Unit offers a unique advantage – we are closely involved with our patients during their visits, allowing us to build strong therapeutic relationships and provide continuous support.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing, supporting clinical trials and acting as a key worker, guiding patients through their research pathways with empathy, professionalism, and clinical expertise. You will be supported by an experienced team and will have opportunities for further development within the clinical research field.

The role involves working as a self-directed practitioner, managing clinical trials related to cancer treatments, symptom management, or screening. Key responsibilities include recruiting, educating, and monitoring patients, supporting them through their participation, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of nursing input. The role also involves supporting junior research nurses, facilitating their development, and potentially undertaking personal research projects or further studies.
