We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated midwife or nurse to join our reproductive health and childbirth research team.
This exciting role offers an opportunity to develop clinical research skills. The successful candidate will coordinate research studies at Newham Hospital, based at Newham University Hospital in Plaistow, with occasional travel to other Bart’s Health NHS Trust locations and external meetings.
The role involves identifying potential participants, providing study information, obtaining informed consent, and serving as a point of contact for participants and health professionals. Responsibilities include managing study data, following up with participants, and assisting in the development and implementation of the research agenda, including studies eligible for NIHR portfolio inclusion.
The Reproductive Health and Childbirth programme, established in 2010 at Barts Health NHS Trust, has expertise in research training and projects within obstetrics and gynaecology, with strong national and international collaborations. You will join a small, friendly team across four hospitals.
This position is funded by the NIHR for an initial period of one year.
